Economic Collapse

Why are fault lines and volcanoes all over North and South America suddenly waking up?  Are we moving into a time when major earthquakes and volcanic eruptions will become much more common?  For the past several decades, we have been extremely fortunate to have experienced a period of extremely low seismic activity along the west coast of the United States.  You see, the west coast lies right along the infamous Ring of Fire.

Approximately 75 percent of all the volcanoes in the world are on the Ring of Fire, and approximately 90 percent of all global earthquakes occur along the Ring of Fire.  Scientists tell us that it is inevitable that “the Big One” will hit California someday, but people have gotten very apathetic about this because things have been so quiet out there for so many years.  Well, now it appears that things are changing in a big way – and not just along the California coast.  The following are 12 signs that something big is happening to the earth’s crust under North and South America…

Former FBI Operative Darlene Novinger who was my friend since 1991 and we did many radio interviews together as co-guests during the early 1990s to mid 1990s died July 27, 2003 from cancer related to a anthrax attack she suffered in 1994. There were 28 of us Whistleblowers and Witnesses who suffered anthrax attacks between 1994 and 1997 14 survived and several have died since of cancer.

Darlene personally witnesses the delivery of 99.9% pure cocaine to then Vice President George HW Bush in the 1980s as an FBI Operative. Darlene was hired by the FBI to infiltrate the Smatt Brothers the Jamaican Narcotics importation in the US run by Florida Governor Jeb Bush.

The day after Darlene filed here report of the cocaine delivery to the Vice President Bush, Darlene’s superiors at the FBI tried to talk her out of the report and forget what she saw. She refused and wrote the report the next day George HW Bush fired his entire staff in order to put the blame on the cocaine delivery on someone else.

Darlene Novinger’s operation was named Operation Neumbus and the files after her husband was murdered were sent to Red Wood City, California’s famous U.S. Government paper shredder base. Darlene shared those files with this Whistleblower. Darlene’s entire family, her husband, father, mother were all killed, and Darlene died July 2003 from cancer after Bushes anthrax her home in Harrisburg, PA., which was put on the Pennsylvania, EPA BIO cleanup list. The home was torn down and before it was 2 mysteries deaths occurred in the neighborhood similar to sudden anthrax deaths.

FoodDemocracyNow  November 6 2013

Eternal Gratitude! There are not words enough to thank you for helping lead the fight against the most powerful and corrupt corporations on the planet. The battle for Yes on 522 is not over and the fight for GMO labeling is just beginning! We want to give you a quick update of where we stand and what will unfold over the course of the next several days, if not weeks.

Last night voters in Washington cast their final ballots for Yes on 522, the citizen-led ballot initiative to label GMOs.

Right now the election is too close to call. Washington voters finished casting their mail-in ballots at 8:00 pm PST last night and many of the most progressive precincts with likely voters for Yes on 522 have not yet been counted.

With as estimated 300,0000 votes in King County and the surrounding Seattle suburbs still outstanding, the race will tighten over the next several reporting periods. The next election updates should come between 4:30 and 6:00 PMPacific Standard Time today and up.

Several major national newspapers have called the election, but for those who remember last year in California, results on election night only continued to climb as late votes were finally counted. More than 600,000 ballots remain uncounted.

Last night, the Washington state Secretary of State’s office has the Yes on 522 campaign trailing with 45.2 percent to 54.8 percent.

Unprecedented Supreme Court Justice Reply To Legal Document Exposing Massive Corruption—and His Apology for Not Helping

From Defrauding America

In October, 1991, corruption-fighting whistleblower Rodney Stich submitted to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Byron White an emergency petition, reporting major corruption in key government positions, resulting in great harmand the attacks upon the whistleblower halt his exposure efforts. Such petitions are responded to by the clerk of the U.S. Supreme Court through a formal denial notice or notice of additional action. In this petition raising matters of urgent national interests, Supreme Court Justice Byron White made an unprecedented personal response, with an even more unprecedented apology for not being able to help. His brief but revealing October 21,1991, unprecedented personal response and apology stated:

Dear Mr. Stich,

As a single Justice I can be of no help to
you. I am returning your petition.

            Sincerely yours,

            Byron White

The petition sent to U.S. Supreme Court Justice Byron White. (Copy shown is a similar copy sent to other Supreme Court Justices, that was sent to Justice Byron White.)

See also the following very serious matters affecting the security of the United States and its people:

The petition:

  • Provided a detailed sampling of the corrupt and criminal acts of key people in government and the severe harmful consequences of those federal offenses. The repeated and blatant violations of large numbers of state and federal law, and the most basic constitutional protectionsand access to remedies in state and federal courts, required that all lawful and constitutional protections be denied to himforever.

  • The unlawful, unconstitutional, and criminal acts taken to halt the reporting of these serious national matters by key people in government. These people and groups including numerous federal judges over whom the Justices had supervisory responsibilities; California judges; large number of lawyers and law firms, including some that were associated with the CIA and FBI; and personnel in the U.S. Department of Justice.

  • Sought relief from the massive personal and financial harm being corruptly inflicted upon him through a combination of lawyers, California judges, federal judges, and Department of Justice personnel. These acts repeatedly violated major California and federal civil and criminal statutes and major constitutional protections.

  • Required an investigation of the federal crimes and the perpetrators, under the responsibilities of the federal crime reporting statute, Title 18 U.S.C. § 4.

  • The relationship of the reported corruption and the series of resulting harmincluding numerous catastrophic consequences. (Similar filings were submitted to other Justices of the U.S. Supreme Court over a period of years.)

Congresswoman Speier Pleads to Save Food Stamps

Mr. Speaker, thank you. You know, in my district, California 14, we have about 4,000 families who are on food stamps, but some of my colleagues have thousands and thousands more. Yet, they somehow feel like crusaders, like heroes when they vote to cut food stamps. Some of these same members travel to foreign countries under the guise of official business. They dine at lavish restaurants, eating steak, vodka and even caviar. They receive money to do this. That’s right, they don’t pay out of pocket for these meals. Let me give you a few examples. One member was given $127.41 a day for food on his trip to Argentina. He probably had a fare amount of steak. Another member was given $3,588 for food and lodging during a six-day trip to Russia. He probably drank a fair amount of vodka and probably even had some caviar. That particular member has 21,000 food stamp recipients in his district. One of those people who is on food stamps could live a year on what this congressman spent on food and lodging for six days. Another 20 members made a trip to Dublin, Ireland. They got $166 a day for food. These members didn’t pay a dime. They received almost $200 for a single meal only for themselves. Yet, for them the idea of helping fellow Americans spend less than $5 a day makes their skin crawl. The faces of families of veterans, of farmers, of the disabled, of the working poor are not visible to them, not even when they are their own constituents.
Last week, a man named Ron Shaich wrote on his LinkdIn page. He’s the founder and CEO of Panera bread. He wrote, despite wanting to fight hunger and poverty in America, he really didn’t know what it was like to be truly hungry. And so Ron is taking the SNAP challenge. The millionaire food mogul is living on $4.50 a day. I’ve taken the snap challenge, and I can tell you it is a horrible experience. You think about food constantly. You are always hungry. But those on food stamps live on $4.50 every day, not for one week, for long into their future. That is so crushing.
Historically, food stamps have been part of the farm bill. It’s that same bill that 26 corporate farmers who remain nameless get $1 million each in subsidies meant for real farmers. The taxpayers are giving $7 billion per year to large agribusiness, yet, Republicans feel SNAP programs cost us too much money. They want to cut it.
Mr. Speaker, I can stand here and say that my point is about saving food stamps from cuts. That’s true. But my larger point is about us as a country, as a society, as neighbors. I’m a member of the least productive congress in the history of this country. I’m ashamed of that. To be honest, if the federal government shut down for a couple of weeks, as we keep hearing, would Americans even notice? When a government of the people or for the people becomes a government in spite of the people, then who are we really serving? If we refuse to take care of those who are the most vulnerable at a tiny fraction of the costs that, say, our defense budget, don’t we cease to be true public servants? Ron Shaich is putting himself in the worn-out shoes of 48 million fellow Americans. I am ready to do the same again.
I wonder how many of my Republican colleagues would want to cut food stamps if they had taken the SNAP challenge. After all, that means no more steak, no more caviar or vodka. Based on these members’ eating habits, I wonder if they could survive.
I yield back.

This week the California State Senate unanimously shot down the federal government’s indefinite detention powers in a 37-0 vote. Lawmakers are refusing to provide material support for the National Defense Authorization Act, and if the measure becomes law it will be difficult for the government to enforce indefinite detention in the state.

Marijuana Ruling Could Signal End of Prohibition on Pot

Published by Colleen Curry, ABC News, August 31, 2013

It’s legal to light up in Colorado and Washington, and soon smoking pot could be legalized across the country following a decision Thursday by the federal government.

“DOJ said that as long as states set up comprehensive regulations governing marijuana, there would be no need for the federal government to step in…”

After Washington state and Colorado passed laws in November 2012 legalizing the consumption and sale of marijuana for adults over 18, lawmakers in both states waited to see whether the federal government would continue to prosecute pot crimes under federal statutes in their states.

PotColoradoBoth Colorado and Washington have been working to set up regulatory systems in order to license and tax marijuana growers and retail sellers, but have been wary of whether federal prosecutors would come after them for doing so. They are the first states to legalize pot, and therefore to go through the process of trying to set up a regulatory system.PotWashingtonState

Consumption and sale of marijuana is still illegal in all other states, though some cities and towns have passed local laws decriminalizing it or making it a low priority for law enforcement officers. There are also movements in many states to legalize pot, including legalization bills introduced in Maine and Rhode Island, discussion of possible bills in states including Massachusetts and Vermont, and talk of ballot initiatives in California and Oregon.

But on Thursday, the Department of Justice announced that it would not prosecute marijuana crimes that were legal under state law, a move that could signal the end of the country’s longtime prohibition on pot is nearing. “It certainly appears to be potentially the beginning of the end,” said Paul Armantano, deputy director of the pot lobby group NORML.

The memo sent to states Thursday by the DOJ said that as long as states set up comprehensive regulations governing marijuana, there would be no need for the federal government to step in, a decision that will save the Justice Department from having to use its limited resources on prosecuting individuals for growing or smoking marijuana.

PotwithCuffsThis memo appears to be sending the message to states regarding marijuana prohibition that is a recognition that a majority of the public and in some states majority of lawmakers no longer want to continue down the road of illegal cannabis, and would rather experiment with different regulatory schemes of license and retail sale of cannabis,” Armantano said.

Richard Collins, a law professor at the University of Colorado Boulder, said that the memo from the DOJ points out specifically that the federal government will only walk away from marijuana crimes in states where there is a solid regulatory system for the drug’s growth and disemenation.

Deal Book ~ JPMorgan Executive May Escape Penalty

Manuel Balce Ceneta/Associated PressBlythe Masters of JPMorgan. Regulators initially said she lied to them under oath about the bank’s energy trading tactics.

Even as the nation’s top energy regulator is poised to extract a record settlement from JPMorgan Chase over accusations that it manipulated power markets, the agency is expected to spare a top bank lieutenant who federal investigators initially contended made “false and misleading statements under oath,” according to people briefed on the matter.

Blythe Masters, a seminal Wall Street figure who is known for developing exotic financial instruments, emerged this spring at the center of an investigation by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission into accusations of illegal trading in the California and Michigan electricity markets.

The regulator found that JPMorgan designed trading “schemes” that converted “money-losing power plants into powerful profit centers,” a commission document said.

While the commission and JPMorgan are negotiating a settlement for about $500 million, the people briefed on the matter said, Ms. Masters is not expected to face a separate action. The move signals a pivot for the agency, which has been increasingly flexing its enforcement muscle, according to the people briefed on the matter, who spoke on the condition they not be named.

Months earlier, investigators planned to recommend that the regulator find Ms. Masters, who holds a powerful position within JPMorgan as the head of its commodities business, “individually liable.” But as the investigation progressed, these people said, top energy regulatory officials have been leaning toward not pursuing any civil charges against Ms. Masters.

The decision — which could change, according to the people briefed on the matter — would mean that Ms. Masters would escape the agency’s sweeping crackdown against big banks. After gaining enforcement authority because of a change in 2005 that allowed it to impose fines of $1 million a day for each violation, the energy regulator has taken a tougher stance with Wall Street.

Gordon Duff ~ ‘Obama surprise admissions in terror talk’

From Press TV

US President Barack Obama speaks during a campaign event at the Fox Theatre in Redwood City, California, on May 23, 2012.
It’s a shame that no American president can speak openly without “wrapping” their words in hyperbole. Thus, Obama’s key speech, making startling admissions of American wrongdoing and mistakes, will be misunderstood and mischaracterized, either because it was incomprehensibly written or purposefully misconstrued.
One key failure of the Obama administration has been his failure to close the illegal detention facility at Guantanamo, Cuba.

However, his statement below and other key areas of his May 23, 2013 policy address may well indicate, not just a final fulfillment of that promise but a beginning to redress some of America’s behaviors that have led to so much suffering.

In order to hold someone to account, it is necessary to actually know what has been said. Toward that end, we will look at what President Obama has promised. We will also examine those critical areas that represent a real policy change and, either give credit where credit is due, or if these initiatives are not followed up on, have a rational basis for criticism.

President Obama addresses the issue of Guantanamo:
“So we bring law of war detention to an end, and we are committed to prosecuting terrorists whenever we can.

The glaring exception to this time-tested approach is the detention center at Guantanamo Bay. The original premise for opening GTMO – that detainees would not be able to challenge their detention – was found unconstitutional five years ago. In the meantime, GTMO has become a symbol around the world for an America that flouts the rule of law. Our allies won’t cooperate with us if they think a terrorist will end up at GTMO…

As President, I have tried to close GTMO. I transferred 67 detainees to other countries before Congress imposed restrictions to effectively prevent us from either transferring detainees to other countries or imprisoning them here in the United States.

These restrictions make no sense. After all, under President Bush, some 530 detainees were transferred from GTMO with Congress’s support… there is no justification beyond politics for Congress to prevent us from closing a facility that should never have been opened.

Today, I once again call on Congress to lift the restrictions on detainee transfers from GTMO.

Even after we take these steps, one issue will remain: how to deal with those GTMO detainees who we know have participated in dangerous plots or attacks, but who cannot be prosecuted – for example because the evidence against them has been compromised or is inadmissible in a court of law. But once we commit to a process of closing GTMO, I am confident that this legacy problem can be resolved, consistent with our commitment to the rule of law.”

As there have been no denials as to the accuracy of key aspects of the statement above, congress, long cited as “in thrall” to the AIPAC lobby, is exposed for its active and continuing role in constitutional abuses.

The media, though airing a speech few listened to, purposefully and systematically chose to censor and edit what was actually said.

Were they to have done their job in a manner consistent with free speech and journalistic ethics, the following points would have been paramount:
