- The Catholic Church says : “God is not a judge but a friend” ERROR
The bible says: Bible Version: “Revised Standard Version CATHOLIC EDITION”
Judgment before the Ancient One
As I looked, thrones were placed and one that was ancient of days took his seat; his raiment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like pure wool; his throne was fiery flames, its wheels were burning fire.
Daniel 7:10 A stream of fire issued and came forth from before him; a thousand thousands served him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him; the court sat in judgment, and the books were opened.
Revelation 19: 11 And I saw the heaven opened; and behold, a white horse, and he that sat thereon called Faithful and True; and in righteousness he doth JUDGE and make war.
GOD IS JUDGE and our friend: God is just and merciful at the same time, He can’t be just merciful and not just. He has to be merciful and just at the same time.
The Catholic Church says : “God seeks not to condemn but only to embrace” ERROR
The bible says:
Exodus 34:6-7 keeping steadfast love for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children’s children, to the third and the fourth generation.”
Proverbs 12:2 A good man obtaineth favour of the Lord: but a man of wicked devices will he condemn.
Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.
Against every evildoer God’s law utters condemnation. He may disregard that voice, he may seek to drown its warning, but in vain. It follows him. It makes itself heard. It destroys his peace. If unheeded, it pursues him to the grave. It bears witness against him at the judgment. A quenchless fire, it consumes at last soul and body.
The Catholic Church says : “The church no longer believes in a literal hell where people suffer. This doctrine is incompatible with the infinite love of God.”
Have the Catholic Church thought about the millions of people that have died believing in indulgences, purgatory etc,. They have died believing in false doctrines. And Roman Church forced and force them to believe on it ( read this history of Roman church) They should have read the bible and have scrutinized about this doctrine the truth was there all this time. This doctrine was refuted by reformers hundreds of years ago and what did they do to the reformers?
The bible says:
Salms 146:4 His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his earth; In that very day his thoughts perish.
Ecclesiastes 9: 5-6 For the living know that they shall die: but the dead know not anything, neither have they any more a reward; for the memory of them is forgotten. 6As well their love, as their hatred and their envy, is perished long ago; neither have they any more a portion for ever in anything that is done under the sun.
Ecclesiastes 9: 10 Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, whither thou goest.
How repugnant to every emotion of love and mercy, and even to our sense of justice, is the doctrine that the wicked dead are tormented with fire and brimstone in an eternally burning hell; that for the sins of a brief earthly life they are to suffer torture as long as God shall live….
Where, in the pages of God’s Word, is such teaching to be found? Will the redeemed in heaven be lost to all emotions of pity and compassion, and even to feelings of common humanity? Are these to be exchanged for the indifference of the stoic, or the cruelty of the savage? No, no; such is not the teaching of the Book of God….
The theory of eternal torment is one of the false doctrines that constitute the wine of the abominations of Babylon.
When we consider in what false colors Satan has painted the character of God, can we wonder that our merciful Creator is feared,… even hated?
The principles of kindness, mercy, and love, taught and exemplified by our Saviour, are a transcript of the will and character of God…. God executes justice upon the wicked, for the good of the universe, and even for the good of those upon whom His judgments are visited…. –
Those who have chosen Satan as their leader, and have been controlled by his power, are not prepared to enter the presence of God…. –
Could they endure the glory of God and the Lamb? No, no; years of probation were granted them, that they might form characters for heaven; but they have never trained the mind to love purity; they have never learned the language of heaven, and now it is too late. –
To sin, wherever found, “our God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:29. In all who submit to His power the Spirit of God will consume sin. But if men cling to sin, they become identified with it. Then the glory of God, which destroys sin, must destroy them. –
DOCTRINES OF INDULGENCES, PURGATORY, ETC
Another invention of paganism, which Rome named purgatory, and employed to terrify the credulous and superstitious multitudes. By this heresy is affirmed the existence of a place of torment, in which the souls of such as have not merited eternal damnation are to suffer punishment for their sins, and from which, when freed from impurity, they are admitted to Heaven.
Still another fabrication was needed to enable Rome to profit by the fears and the vices of her adherents. This was supplied by the doctrine of indulgences. Full remission of sins, past, present, and future, and release from all the pains and penalties incurred, were promised to all who would enlist in the pontiff’s wars to extend his temporal dominion, to punish his enemies, or to exterminate those who dared deny his spiritual supremacy. The people were also taught that by the payment of money to the church they might free themselves from sin, and also release the souls of their deceased friends who were confined in the tormenting flames. By such means did Rome fill her coffers, and sustain the magnificence, luxury, and vice of the pretended representatives of Him who had not where to lay his head.
